Abstract: Career path models have become a popular tool for workforce management at federal agencies.  The presenters will introduce the concept of career path modeling, describe the intended benefits to employees and organizations, describe current practices and present examples, describe the challenges and solutions involved with implementing these tools, and propose a framework for researching and developing career path modeling tools. 

Speaker Bio: Dr. Anderson has over 25 years of experience conducting and directing projects featuring workforce development tools including hiring and promotional assessments, credentialing/certification, career path models.  Dr. Anderson has implemented dozens of workforce development tools across a broad set of federal agencies.   He has published and presented numerous times on performance management, hiring, job analysis, testing, fairness, and validation.
