This position is a Personnel Research Psychologist, GS-0180-14 with a full performance level of GS-14 and is located in Employee Services, Recruitment and Hiring, Classification and Assessment Policy (CAP). Classification and Assessment Policy (CAP) develops and maintains position classification, job grading and qualification standards and guides for occupations and job families under the General Schedule and Federal Wage System. CAP also develops and maintains competency profiles and model assessment tools and strategies for Government-wide occupations and serves as a technical resource to other OPM units and Federal agencies on classification, qualification, competency, and assessment policy matters.
In this role you will conduct job analyses, evaluations, examinations, fact-finding studies, and lead research projects to develop integrated position classification and qualification standards for all General Schedule and Wage Grade occupations. The incumbent will develop assessment guidance, tools and other resources for designing effective employee selection procedures.
