The Office of Equal Employment Opportunity (OEEO) of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is recruiting for an experienced Management and Program Analyst (Data Analyst) with strong research skills to join our team (SK-14-0343) in the SEC’s home office in Washington, DC. If selected, you will join a well-respected, multidisciplinary team conducting research that helps to enhance equal access to employment opportunities for the best and brightest talent and foster an equitable work environment in which employees perform the SEC's mission. You will gain deep experience in organizational research focused on diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity. OEEO embraces a true scientist-practitioner model, applying research methods and data science techniques to explore the employee experience. Your work will help design business intelligence tools for people analytics and data visualization to support our research efforts and annual reporting requirements.
Potential assignments include, but are not limited to:
- Serving as a program manager to develop and track progress on plans for research projects and to provide day to day technical direction for a project team.
- Leading research projects and assignments exploring equal opportunity across the employment lifecycle. Responsibilities include: project planning, collaboration with stakeholders, designing data collection, collecting both quantitative and qualitative data, conducting or overseeing appropriate analyses, and sharing progress and results.
- Delivering presentations to communicate research findings, provide interpretation, and suggest action plans based on results for an audience varying in technical background.
- Working collaboratively with stakeholders and subject matter experts in support of the research program.
- As required, serving as a Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) managing and overseeing contractual obligations.
